    John B. Hawken

    President and CEO

    Mr. John B. Hawken is a specialist in the management of start-up biotechnology companies funded by VC firms. He successfully managed several biotechnology start-up's in France such as the drug delivery company Diatos, the antimicrobial peptides company EntoMed and the cellular gene therapy company Neurotech. Before starting his career in the field of Biotechnology, Mr Hawken was the Managing Director of two French subsidiaries of international chemical groups and held senior positions in Shell International Chemicals. He has a degree in Chemistry (Oxford University) and holds an MBA (INSEAD).



    Frédéric Triebel

    Scientific and Medical Director

    Dr. Frédéric Triebel was Professor in Immunology and Biotechnology at Paris University. While working at Institut Gustave Roussy (IGR), a large cancer centre in Paris, he discovered the LAG-3 gene in 1990 and continued working on this research program since then, identifying the functions and medical usefulness of this molecule. He headed a research group at IGR while being also involved in the biological follow-up of cancer patients treated in Phase I/II immunotherapy trials. He was Director of an INSERM Unit from 1991 to 1996. First trained as a clinical haematologist, Dr. Triebel holds a Ph.D. in immunology (Paris University) and successfully developed several research programs in immunogenetics, leading to 132 publications and 16 patents.
